Hi, I’m Amita,

My work spans surface design and illustration for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, paper goods, home décor, and gift. I create seamless repeat patterns and coordinating illustrations designed to translate across categories while maintaining cohesion, depth, and visual interest.

In addition to licensing, I am the founder and illustrator behind Amicreative, a product-based brand carried by retailers nationwide. Running a brand of my own informs how I approach collaboration—designing artwork with real-world production, merchandising, and customer connection in mind.

My work has received industry recognition through awards and nominations, including a Louie Award–winning greeting card and a 2025 Artist of the Year nomination. I collaborate with companies through existing collections, custom artwork based on creative briefs, and long-term licensing partnerships, and I welcome opportunities to create thoughtful, story-driven work that feels both elevated and accessible.

LICENSING FAQ

With Art licensing, you ‘rent’ my artwork for your product or offering. My work is available for both exclusive and non-exclusive licenses.
As a licensee, you will pay a fee to the licensor (the artist) to use the artwork in accordance with the terms we have mutually agreed on.
A non-exclusive license, allows you to use my artwork in the production of your products and sell the finished product. I will continue to hold ownership of the artwork. The design will continue to be available for other companies to license.
Exclusive licenses provide you the exclusive use of my artwork for a certain period of time and in particular product categories. I will continue to hold ownership of the artwork and may continue to license the artwork in other product categories.
I do consider buy-outs on a case by case basis. Please contact me to discuss options.
As the designer, I retain all the copyright and ownership of the artwork and all the derivative works at all times. I do consider buy-outs on a case by case basis. Please contact me to discuss options.
